2013 Tc. Keep it or sell it?
I am the original owner of a 2013 Tc with 156,000 miles on it. The car is in excellent condition. All scheduled maintenance has been done on it. Oil has been changed every 5000 miles, the alternator and water pump have been replaced. Tires and brakes have been replaced as needed. In typical Toyota fashion the car has been very reliable and enjoyable to drive all year round. I'm questioning whether I would be better off keeping it and maintaining as needed, such as a new clutch, ball joints, etc. or look for something new like a GR86, Celica, or Civic. I don't really want another used car because of the unknown and at I know the history of mine. Also, I'm 73 years old and retired(hopefully) and really don't want to get into a car payment again. I just want an enjoyable reliable car I can get in and drive anywhere in the country at anytime. I figure for well under $8000 I can invest in keeping it running for quite awhile. I want to drive it until the wheels on the car fall off or I fall apart! Whichever comes first. What might be some of the issues I might not have considered when keeping the car? Or, am I crazy? Thanks for any replies. Shaun
