2014 WRX hatch?
how much are you going to spend on the new WRX you think?
Also will you be converting your tC to stock before sale to try to get max money out of it? and parting out the aftermarket stuff? I may be interested in some of the parts depending on what they are.
I do not know much about the WRX - is it a turbo'd car? and is its engine the same one from the STI? (just a smaller turbo)
tbh i was interested in a WRX too (along side mazdaspeed3) but had concerns about those two not being as reliable as Toyota. What is your opinion?

They're around 26-30k depending on which one you want. And yes same engine as sti just a smaller turbo. It's a 2.5 turbo. 268 HP and it's AWD. And I've thought about it.
I have smoked spec D taillights. Injen CAI / SRI. tsudo s2 catback that's about all in willing to sell off of it.

depending on your price I am interested in the Injen CAI/SRI
Thats also one of the reasons i didnt go with a WRX, affording it always helps LOL
But i am glad that it has the same engine and has some sort of turbo as stock. hypothetically if you were to buy a WRX as a project car, you can save some money by not buying an STI since you'd be working with a very similar platform. just ideas i am thinking about for when i can afford a second car.

No there isn't, you are referring to the STI. Please, don't argue about something you know very little about.
Both 2014 WRX STI models are only available in 6 speed manual gearbox.
Cluttering this guys thread with nonsense....
Yeah idk what i am talking about. I was really hoping they would be the same.
And this is not nonsense, the OP thought the same thing. We are trying to show the correct information about the STI and WRX differences so that we all know.

To the OP, good luck with the WRX. Personally, I love them but the dime a dozen factor where I'm from deterred me. Needed something with a little more exclusivity.
The differences between a WRX and an STI are far greater than just the turbo. Different turbo and intercooler, exhaust, different internals, different transmission (I know you guys realized that). The STI also has far better suspension and brakes and also has adjustable differentials and the sedan has a functional wing.
The reality is, if you just want a fast and functional daily driver with good upgrade potential, you get a WRX. It is all the car you will need for the public roads. If you plan to actually track the car, you want the STI.
