Any problems with your tC2?
#7
i also have heard a clunk noise coming from the rear of my tC when going over speed bumps! is this normal??? anyone else have this problem! i wonder what it is? is this something where i have to take it back to the dealer? Im getting TRD lowering springs so I havent really paid any attention to the noise thinking im just going to replace the springs anyways!

agree with the moon roof making rattling noises on bumpy roads. Just bought my tc it has 130 miles, Also when it closes it makes a very loud pop noise, like if something is preventing it from closing smoothly. I'm taking it in tuesday. ITS NOT EVEN A WEEK OLD!!
What problems do you have or did you have with your tC? Just tought of making a thread about it so that people might find others who are having the same problems.
I have/had a several...
This is my 6th brand new car and I've never had ANY problem with the cars I had before (Toyota & Honda).
I'm thinking I got really unlucky on this car since it does not seem like other people here are having problems.
1) Passenger side B pillar making ticking noise. It is caused by the plastic trim outside of B pillar rubbing the body paint. The noise goes away if I place something in between the plastic piece and the body point. It slowly died down and hardly noticeable now.
2) Moon roof making clicking noise on the passenger side in the front about every 5 seconds when the car is moving. Driver side does too about once a day or two. It seems to be the rail rubbing the body paint or something like that, but can't figure out what it is. It makes the noise a lot less often when the moon roof is opened, but it still does and at the same place. Going to bring the car for the 3rd time soon.
3) A plastic piece on the rail of the moon roof is broken on the passenger and rattles when going over rough road. I doubt this one is related to issue #2 because it's broken only on the passenger side. (If it's related, then driver side should not make clicking noise.) Not as annoying as the ticking and the clicking noises, but it's obviously broken.
4) Rear suspension makes clunking noise when going over speed bump. It also makes the same noise when there are passengers in the rear seats and the car is going over a rough road. I'm not sure if this is same with everyone else.

My car has 3753 miles. Both door panels rattle (as they seem to all do) and my sunroof has begun to tick while it's open and I'm driving. I've got Alpine, and like many others', mine doesn't have bass on the passenger's side in tC mode. Nothing major, but annoying, especially since my Grand Am had 144,600 miles and didn't make a sound while it's sunroof was open. And the door panels didn't rattle either.

I have the Alpine issue but that is being resolved.
I have had my car not even 2 weeks and I notice in some places all over the exterior paint has a white fog/film on it. It feels rough and when you run your hand down the side you can hear when you go from the normal paint to the rough fog/film.
Anyone else have this issue?

Does it make the noise when the glass roof just finishes sliding forward? Or is it while the glass roof is still in the middle of sliding forward? Is the noise from both left and right side or just from one side?
Mine is only on the right side and it makes the noise when it just finishes sliding forward. I found a black plastic piece on the front side of the rail with a broken screw that's hanging. That plastic piece is hitting something of the moving parts when the roof closes.

^^ !!!!
I actually had someone else sit in the car while I watched, dude was shorter than me and I thought 'his head will totally hit the headrest' but NO, as soon as his ___ hit the seat, the headrest popped up about a 1/4 to 1/2 inch... lol it's like the air being compressed from the seat makes it pop!! LOL
