Default anyone make a clutch stop yet?

I found this write up for a early model and was wondering if anyone has tried it on our car or if it would work the same way. I would see for myself but it has been pouring all day and I don't feel like freezing my ***** off. https://www.scionlife.com/forums/tc-tech-diy-1818/clutch-pedal-stop-install-35518/ I had a clutch stop in my e30 BMW and it made shifting way easier and after hearing from my brother that he stalled my car twice borrowing it for the holidays, it wouldn't hurt to make it a little easier on him. And it helps make faster shifts for all you speed freaks.

i did this a while ago very difficult to do because of the location id advise against it but if your up for the challenge it is worth it.... the plate you use is up there aways and you will have to drill a hole but its not too bad if you dont mind working upside down and iin a tight place

I'm gonna check it out today. I'm a small guy so working upside down shouldn't be too bad. At least o know now that it is doable.

Hey I tried this already, I put it where the clutch starter trigger was. I did not make or use any other exhisting hole. I bypassed the clutch switch and took out the switch module. There is a problem though.
Quickly over time the little tab that is used to push the starter trigger gets banged against the clutch stop and bends, making the clutch pedal go further than you want.
I have not tired to remedy it, I just learned how to drive with the long clutch, and my leg just knows how far down it needs to go.

Sorry if that was a bad description, and I dont have pics this second.

A little while back me and a few other guys on this forum went to the store and picked up some Magic Sliders and we stuck them in two places on the arm of the clutch pedal. I've had mine on the car for about a year now and it never fell off or moved.

I was thinking of just threading a thin bolt through the hole on the clutch pedal itself and nutting it on both sides so it doesn't move, right above where the clutch switchamajigger engages the pedal. But that would still require something for that switch to engagethe pedal. Are those magic sliders just plastic? I saw a picture of one on the page I linked but they look kind of cheap. I've never seen one in person though so Idk how they work. I think someone mentioned you can get them at home depot right? Are they adjustable in length. It sounds like ^^^ are just using two of them as a clutch stop and also for the switch? (Sorry I opened reply in a new window and was too lazy to figure out who said that but you know what I mean haha) I looked at it yesterday and doing it the proper way would be damn near impossible trying to drill up high there and thread it.

Any chance you guys have any pictures you could share cuz I just went to magic sliders website and I'm having trouble understanding how they would help with a clutch stop, besides maybe putting them on the end of a fabricated stop just to soften the impact.

I'll try to get pictures if it stops raining today. Magic sliders are basically hard plastic with some glue? on the end of them.

Also I know target and Walmart have them but if you pick up a pair make sure you get magic sliders and not the cheap knockoffs at Walmart, I tried once but they were squishy and useless

They don't soften the impact just have the clutch pedal stop at a certain point because the sliders hit the switch thingamajigs before the metal pedal would've.

It's not the easiest trying to explain this so I'll definitely try to get pics.

If you need any more pictures or if you'd want a video let me know. They've been in place for about 10,000 miles.
