Everyone turn to page 450 in your manual..about locks and seatbelt buzzer.
It clearly says that the following options can be changed at your dealer.
Has anyone experienced this yet? It says with a simple piece of equipment the dealer can make various features available. Some notable ones are:
1) ONE press of the Unlock button from the remote can unlock ALL doors.
2) When you open the driver door, all doors unlocked. I.E. When you get out your car your trunk will already be unlocked!
3) *Drum Roll* Seat belt reminder buzzer can be turned off.
I may inquire about this at my local dealer, hopefully they dont have ____ for brains. I check my mail when I pull into my street, and when I finish the 1/8 mile drive home the seatbelt buzzer drives me nuts. (Of course I wear a seatbelt when on public roads, so lets not start ethics class about seat belts...)

Some dealers will not disable the seatbelt beep. I know 2 that would not do it on my yaris, but I showed them I could do it on my tC(gen1). I said the same argument about getting my mail ect, and also said I would load stuff on my front seat (passenger seat) sometimes. Anything over 30-40lbs the seatbelt buzzer would go off because it thinks you have a passenger.

Dude this is sweet. I went to the dealer at lunchtime and they had no problem doing this.
I got the seatbelt buzzer off.
Clicking unlock ONCE will unlock everything.
and when I shut the car off after driving and I open the driver door, it unlocks everything.
Satisfied.
If anyone gets flack for asking to disable the buzzer just tell them your your is a small distance from your mailbox and there is no traffic or something like that.
I however did not need an excuse. I had copies of the manuals and circled in red what I want done.

Try a look in your manual too. I dont want you to look dumb showing up the a dealer and they can't even do this.
On the tC1 this can be done by pressing a series of buttons on the dash, maybe that can apply to you.
I talked to two dudes when I walked in (neither of them were techs) and they could not confirm if the settings would stay if I reset the ECU or swapped batteries (I dont plan on doing either for a long time.)
But a 5 minute trip to the dealer and a 15 minute wait and I'll be hooked up again.

The other day I asked at the dealership if they could program the remote control to unlock all doors with a single button press and they told me that I would have to leave the keys for a whole day. does it take that long?

No, thats one of the dealers that have ____ for brains.
Try another? Sorry they didn't cooperate, they obviously didn't want to help you cause no one is that dumb.
Its done with laptop in 10 minutes VIA your OBD-II port on a 2011-2013 Scion tC.
