First Gear whine? 2015 tC

Ever since I obtained my 2015 tC there has been this first gear whine noise that occurs. It happens with the clutch in and out. Anyone else have this issue?

I've read about it a few times. The car I test drove had it really bad, the one I bought didn't. There are a few threads discussing why on the forum though.

Thats what I figured, My car was purchased new but the person who delivered it must have F-ed it up.

I figured it was a normal thing since my 2014 does the same in 1st and Reverse gear only any other gear there is no sound. I think its just the synchromesh you are hearing.

mine does it in reverse, but I figured the reverse gears were more straight-cut than the forward gears. It might be a bearing in the transmission. Have you taken it in and asked the dealership to look at it?
