Help, car wont start!

Hey guys,
maybe you can think of why this happened, I went home, ate lunch, then pulled out my motor mount to switch to the thicker bushing, when I turned on the car it clicks like a dead battery, but there is a buzzing coming from the fuse box? maybe a bad relay?

I just cant figure out why this would happen after I switch motor mounts. Ive done it a couple times already without any problems.

tried to jump the car, but it just does the same thing so it cant be the battery, but I know that buzzing was never there before when the key is turned to the ON position.

Thanks

the buzzing is coming from the relays in the fuse box in the engine bay.
and I checked all the fuses in both boxes. they are all good

I had a similar issue with my xb2. I thought it was my battery, so i went to pepboys and bought a new optima. Turn's out it still wouldn't start. Might want to try the Ground from the battery to the chassis. My issue was that the negative terminal wasn't making contact with the chassis.

fixed

I think when I was taking off the motor mount to switch it, my ratchet hit the starter a couple times and maybe screwed up the position. After knocking on it a couple times, and then trying to pop the clutch, it worked.

I have no idea what caused it and was just about to take it into the dealership, thank God its a stick.

I don't know if this follows for the tC.. but on the back of the battery, the positive side has a fuse box on the back.. thats red and the fuses are not traditional looking fuses.. when you ground the alternator, these fuses will pop.. give it a look see.. may be what happened..

Glad it's running again! My car freaked out on me not too long ago and shut off all of the electronics. I disconnected my battery and reconnected it again and it was fine. Talked to some guy at the dealership and apparently it was some weird security thing? I locked it with the button on the door then unlocked it with my key fob, and he said that made the security system freak out

yea me too! I had never had to start a car by popping the clutch, but now I know how.

At least it didn't happen to you when the car was running. I've had a mustang GT lock up on me on the road going 80mph. The wheel and brakes locked (freaked out the security system), so I had to stop it with E brake when the road curved.

thats why I must never get a ford

a little trick with the starters... for the cars i've worked on, if the started is dead, hit it a few times with a mallet and it'll start! (but by then i would also suggest a new starter.. get the car started just so u can get to the auto store and back)
