I already have over 5k on my car and haven't heard anything of the sort. Can you locat where it's coming from? Try holding parts when driving to see if it goes away. Maybe something is loose?

This happens to me in the morning or when the car is cold & I go over a speed bump or a bump I hear a popping sound. This is due to having a all glass roof from what I was told by the dealership. I have a 2006 with 46k miles.

Haven't heard anything like this in my car,

Take it to the dealership, I mean hell the worst they could say is sorry lol

Or you could just install a subwoofer and everything will rattle...

I have almost 6K miles on my tC and no issues with the moon roof. Take it to the dealer. Better to have them fix it now than you having to pay for a bigger repair when the warranty runs out.

i have the same noise, only whens it is really cold outside, i think that it does have something to do with either the hatch or the glass roof, nuttin major to worry about tho

I was hoping they would have resolved the 1st gen issues with roof noises with the 2011. I guess that's the nature of the beast.

On my first gen the hatch always rattled, from the day I got it from the dealer.

This time around I haven't had any issues with the rattling that have been brought up on here! Maybe just luck of the draw lol

I had the same noises too when it was cold. Sometimes the clicking would make me go nuts.. I felt it come somewhere between the glass roof and the moonroof cover.

What I think it is are two things: cold glass & warm interior but especially ICE building in the cracks on the roof. Keeping my roof clean I have not had this problem for a while now.

holpe it helps

^ the ice actually seems like it could be the problem, at least out of all the ideas given that's what I'd believe is happening.

Default 2011 tC roof creaking noise!!

Alright I have had my tC2 for a couple of months and the passenger side up by the moon roof is getting a creaking sound. Anyone heard of this? I know the first gens had some problems but the 2011's can't find much. So I took it into the dealership and a tech went on a ride along with me. The noise was still there(Thank god) When we got back they looked for anything on their computers and they came up with a sound suppression kit that they had to order! Really? Is this kit you speak of a can of spray foam and a screwdriver?

Also the drivers side front bumper clip under the headlight appears to have come off or broke and sags down. They are going to access that also.

Well the car goes in to the dealer Monday night. I will keep you guys posted on the outcome.

My 2012 does the same thing.
It drives me crazy so I turn up the radio louder.

Just dropped it off and they gave me a Xb to drive. I don't miss the xb at all. Hopefully we will have some good news tomorrow afternoon.

This link is kind of what I used to fix mine. It is not exactly what I got, but will give you an idea.

http://www.artsupply.com/brand/foamcore.htm

The stuff I got is from walmart, and it is like a tape, sticky on the back. Less than a 1/4 inch thick, and comes in 5 X 7 sheets. I used the black so you couldent see it, and it works like a champ.
