truth, bespoke is not worth the money you pay for it.

it was free if you consider the 1000 buck military rebate i got off it.

i just went ahead and canceled iphone 5, and im gonna buy a 4s on craigslist.. oh well, i dont care about navigation i live in anchorage a super small city lol. but i just care about my pandora and such.

This is why I am going to get a Kenwood DNX6180. Fairly cheap, comes with Garmin maps, works with iPhone's, and overall awesome unit.

Why did you cancel the iPhone? The last line in the document says it will do everything you want.

"iPhone 5 customers will still be able to use Pandora, Bluetooth handsfree, Bluetooth audio, and iPod control."

FreedomPenguin 10-01-2012 10:12 PM

yes, use pandora wirelessly.
i want to be able to connect the cord to iphone and use the manual selection/list etc on the monitor itself. im not sure if that will still work. so i canceled, when someone finds out if it can then i will convert. til then thats a no go to me.

So would my iPhone 5 not work with the 2011 scion tc stock alpine unit it wouldn't be able to charge or play my music via USB? My iPhone 5 hasn't come in yet is why I'm asking.

FreedomPenguin 10-02-2012 06:19 PM

I dunno, I bought a brand new iphone 4s on craigslist for 200 bucks.. so Im happy, everything works just as before and i still can keep my upgrade for 5. if i get any of my friends who has iphone 5 i will try it out and let you know. but it wasnt a risk that i was going to take.

BossNguyen 10-07-2012 06:15 AM

The iPhone 5 should work with the 30pin to lightning adapter with our cars, since the whole point of the adapter is to analog audio output, USB audio, as well as syncing and charging.

Kyleptrsn1 10-07-2012 09:45 PM

Probably not a fair comparison but my iPhone 5 works perfectly with my Pioneer AVH-4400. It works exactly the same as my 4S did.

BossNguyen 10-10-2012 03:11 AM

I just got my iPhone 5 yesterday and it works just fine with my 2011 Scion tC Pioneer stock head unit. Charges and I can play music from the lightning cable, no adapter needed.

But the cable did get stuck in the usb port, I had to stick a thin plastic piece of my medicine pill under the cable to get it out, since apple made it different this time. So watch out for that guys.

I had the same problem in my xb2.5 so I am going to wait for the adapter and see how that works for me.

Would it be okay to just plug it in and leave it plugged? Do you think there will be any future damage to both the tC and iPhone 5 because it doesn't fit properly? Only asking because I'm planning on going to buy an iPhone 5 in the morning and DEFINITELY do not want to have trouble with it playing music. I'm trading my iTouch 4th Gen for a credit toward the iPhone 5, hence me being worried about this.
