Question Passenger Seat Vibration

Just wondering if anyone else has noticed the passenger seat vibrate when unoccupied. It bugs the crap out of me.
When driving at speeds 40mph+ it shakes back and forth...
Just noticed it after the 5K service had it seen it earlier I could have told the dealer...

Come on guys, usually you have to insert a quarter for this kind of action. Be thankful and place your lady friend in the seat... Both parties will benefit...

Mine vibrate a lot too.
When I have a plastic bag on the passenger seat, the vibrating seat vibrates the plastic bag, which then makes noise.
So, I put plastic bags on the floor instead of on the seat.

Forced myself to look over on my way into work this morning, saw it shake a bit, but nothing horrible, and usually i've got my eyes on the road so unless it rattles with an audible effect... meh

...I also was sitting in the passenger seat when my wife was test driving our tC2, and I noticed nothing to let me think the seat was vibrating or anything to that effect.

Old thread, I know, but it's still relevant =(

For mine, it depends where the seat is positioned. If it's all the way back in its "default" position, it shakes like a ****. If I slide it toward the front so that, in the driver seat looking at the front of the seat, it lines up just forward of that nub inside the door cup-holder, it stops the shaking.

I just created an account because this has been happening to me. In fact, mine actually makes a noticeable rattling noise (at least, I think the seat is what's causing the noise). Does this warrant a trip to the dealership? If not how should I fix it?

There are alot of things that warrant a trip to the dealership.. question is.. will they fix it...

You'd be better off trying like a **** to narrow down the source as they will likely not do any real troubleshooting to locate it. then document it.. video, paper, whatnot, then see them..

I've got noises as well.. but I also have a life that doesn't easily lend itself to Toyota service center hours. Nor do I have patience for multiple pointless trips and extended periods of time without my baby

My seat shakes a little too. But then again. So have all the seats in my Econo cars. I doubt toyota will do anything about it. But if someone wants to try they should let us know the results.
