Default Project Zelas...In Search Of The Emblem That Fits

Alright It's 2am in NH and I'm bored. So I took off the front emblem to make measurements and see what it looks like.

Measurements:
Width = 4 7/8(12.4cm)
Height = 3 5/16(8.4cm)

Luckily, my mother drives a Toyota Rav4 2005 so I debaged it

It did not have the black backing and did not really fit. It popped out a second after I took the pic

Conclusion:
2005 Rav4 doesnt work (Unless brute force is used of course)

....Keep looking

Cannot just apply double-sided tape or something of the same worth to a toyota emblem and stick her on the black backing?
They look to be close to the same size?

If you're going to swap emblems, you should really go Lexus!

IDK....the car just doesn't look like Lexus at all, where as Toyota badge is cool and humble IMO.

Take your measurement to the dealership and compare them to the Toyotas on the lot... maybe the Yaris or Corolla would be close.

^ Maybe it just looked huge because it's such a small car!?

j/k... I never paid much attention to the Yaris, just throwing out ideas.

Why not get the Rav-4 badge, brake the clips and stick it onto the black backing. then install the emblem back on?

as i mentioned, it could work with brute force. i'll take a look at it again today while the sun is up however the rav4 badge seemed a little too big so it may not fully fit in the cut out even after its glued to the black backing.....may have to file the edges

it's not about recognition here, just ideas out loud and more ways to make the car your own. I'd rather have no badges at all but the front leaves no choice. I'm completely removing the rear one and filling in the holes and the indent

what if you just cut off the clips on the toyota and glued it to the scion plastic piece and put it in? or is the toyota emblem too big to where you cant stand it?
