Tire Sizes and Offset?!

Hello forum.
I have a few questions here that need answered to. My problem right now is I'm buying rims. The size is 18x9.5 either in a +20 offset or +38. Now the problem is I want my car to as low as possible with as much tire as possible. If I have to roll fenders I will. I wanna tuck somewhere in the 265 range. And keep it flush as possible with the fenders. I'm on stech's now and leaning towards either ksport or Megan coilovers Thanks guys!!

265's and tuck? well if you want both thoseoptions, you're gonna have to go with +38 and it's gonna require some fender work if you intend on going pretty low especially since a few people with 265's on s-techs are rubbing at full turn.

^^^ agreed. You might even need to remove the fender liner. 18x9.5 +38 is a perfect flush setup. Very difficult to tuck given those tire specs. You go with less tire if you want to slam it.

Yeah I understand that what if I would go with a different wheel at like a +44 offset? Would anyone think I could roll, tuck and go?

depending on the wheel, +44 is going to be cutting it really close with your suspension as well as with your brake caliper. I'm pretty sure 1stOne had a 18x9.5 +45 or +43 Enkei RPF1 and it was cutting it pretty close so I think he put a 3 mm spacer on.

Same with the ptuning tc2. They had to alter the stock caliper to get the rpf1 in an offset that high to clear.

stick with your 18x8.5s i run enkei raijins lowered to wheel gap with 15 mm front and 20 mm rear spacers. spacers are your best investment andbthey make your car look great

but then again im running stock tires 225/45 so it might be different for you..

I have 18x9.5 with a +45 and they cleared the TRD calipers, but just barely. They did not clear the stock caliper which would have needed to be ground down a little to make it work with these wheels.

Today I'm running 3mm spacers and custom hubcentric rings to provide enough clearance to the caliper that I feel safe. With the TRD springs and a relatively stock alignment (and the 255 AD08's), the tire will contact the fender (barely) under heavy braking, ie 150km/h to 80km/h in around the 50ft range (give or take). Safest bet would be to dial in a little more camber using a factory crash bolt up front, which would help a little on the handling side of things as well. This would make it a nice clean setup.

Honestly, the car will fit wider, but I think the 9.5" width is the max without getting into fender modifications or excessive camber/stance setups.

this is a lot of wants at once

it will take a lot of time to fine tune the setup

flush/fat tire/tuck is extremely hard. it wont be perfect first time around. get higher offset so u can space it out later
also if the tires are too fat you'll have to modify where rear bumper attaches with screws inside the wheel well: either replace the screws with flat heads or messing with plastic bumper
but thats unlikely since we have more room in the rear and you'll have issues in the front before those in the rear unless you get different offsets
also coils will have stiffer springs and keep the car flatter and therefore ur front will not rub.
with eibach 1.3" front drop I rubbed taking any corner at greater than 20mph
with megans coils with 1.5" front drop I was taking 120 degree corners at 40mph and it was all fine

bottom line is get coils FIRST then measure clearances with stock rims at the desired drop

oh yeah and wrong section haha

you cannot tuck on 265 smh... best bet is 18x9 +20 on 245 or 240 tire.
