Default weird idle issue

I've got a 2013 TC 6spd. I can be driving and when i come to a stop...my idle will fluctuate from it's 750rpm idle to 1100....down to 500 back to 750... is this normal. my '08 never did this, but i know it's a different motor... any input?

it is because of the small motor and then using AC. Most small engined cars will suffer from the same issue.

Sorry for making a new thread. My computer is crazy slow and it just took too much time to go through the pages of threads.

My 12 tc got the same problem, sometimes the rpm drops to 450~500 at idle (stopped at red light) and the car vibrates a little bit and then rebounces to 800 and back to 600. I have discussed this problem with other tc2 owners here few months ago. Seems like we all got the same problem and it is normal.

I think one of the reasons we experience this issue is because the idle is maintained with the use of the throttle body, there is no IAC valve. I wouldn't be surprised if the idle map is somehow affected by Toyota's "sticking throttle" issue.

I have the same issue. Contact Scion on the phone and tell them about the problem.
