So after some very prompt service due to card services being involved in an order from xtecautousa for their full halo kit, it has been stated my kit will ship Wednesday at the latest.

The rest of this situation can be found on the original thread in this forum, which might I add the thread was closed after multiple members jumped on saying they had yet to receive kit or refund. I would post a link but I'm on android for the time being as the laptop is on the Fritz.

Hopefully I will be reporting good news.

If there had been prompt communication this whole thing could have been avoided. But sometimes you have to throw a situation from the frying pan into the fire to get results.

We shall see...

here is an update, stupid as it is.
I have been sending regular emails to mike, who has let me know that he shipped it finally on the 25th of january, keep in mind the order was placed on the 6th of December 2012.
I have not recieved the order but I have recieved 3 other orders that were placed between the 25th and now. Unless it is shipping from outside the USA, I would say this package is either lost or was never shipped. I ended up sending a volley of 25 emails within a 2 hour time frame and finally got a response on the 28th that said if it hadn't arrived in a few days to email him.
I emailed him friday morning the 1st of feb, no response all weekend. Emailed him again today just a few moments ago. We shall see. Who knew getting a quality halo kit for my ride was like PULLING TEETH.

 

How is the build quality? Is it just the low beam kit or is it a full kit?

This has gone on long enough for me to try to call card services again this week. This guy is a clown.

 

Update: Well looks like he is on his A-game today. "That is strange that you have not received your package yet. Give me a little time to find out where your package is and I will get back to you." received 4 minutes ago. Updating soon.

Actually forget it. I'm ditching this purchase. Fail. I have been in contact with erik and mike, Not sure who I am talking to now. supposedly they have a "HIGH VOLUME" of emails coming in and no one person is dedicated to emails... RIGHT...

I DO NOT reccommend xtec auto usa. Ease of falling into their trap is an A+.

Customer service and shipping BOTH get an F.

No tracking number, they piddle around investigating over and over. This is not a brainy thing... it's very simple. Take it to UPS or FEDEX or USPS or whoever, get a tracking number and email it to me and ship the damned thing. Oh but, "it's very strange you havent received your product yet. let us investigate!" SURE! I'm glad someone knows what's going on because I sure as hell don't!

XTEC IS A FARCE. I dare say a scam.

NO ONE should wander into XTEC for ANYTHING.

I have contacted card services. Told Xtec not to pursue any further action as I will be doing everything myself because I would like it to be done right.

So I have news. Yesterday marks THE END of dealing with my charge back and some SERIOUSLY SHADY SHTICK happened.
At the first of April I received a package in the mail from xtec. Odd since I had charge back done 2 months prior and the ORIGINAL DATE OF PURCHASE was December 6th!
So I opened it up and found 2 90mm light rings. That's all. No wires, no ccfls, no ballasts, NO instructions NOTHING. just 2 rings with no indication of color.

I GOT AN EMAIL A WEEK LATER SAYING THAT CHARGEBACK HAD BEEN FILED ON ME!
The absolute nerve! They claimed they shipped the whole kit to me.
I sent pictures and a signed letter in and apparently the credit union STILL has yet to receive funds from them!

Yeah well I got a final letter yesterday that said I win and the charges in place are permanent and that a FRAUD CASE has been opened. RUT ROH. So here is the word from the horses mouth. DO NOT BUY FROM XTEC AUTO USA.

Dunno what the hell I will do with these rings. They don't even look like xtec product.... maybe I'll make me self a solar powered CUP COASTER that turns on in the dark.
They for damn sure aren't going anywhere NEAR a location that might be hard for me to rip em out and chuck em in the trash....

Damn... Thank god it's all sorted out. Crazy how far people will go just to hold onto some green pieces of paper.

 

I maybe received 4 emails from them since December 6th. NONE charge back procedures. I think they actually believed I would sit there and be charged $170 for 2 90mm led rings, even after all emails I sent to them.

 

damn!! $170 for two rings?! without wires or anything, man that's horrible!

 

Well actually they were free now. I still don't know if they even work, nor do I care. The only thing that was wasted was my time. At least they weren't enough of a cheap ___ to send me a prepaid shipping envelope to send em back. Lmao. That would be the ONLY way they would get them back.

 

Sucks that you had a bad experience with them. My friend bought rucas from them and had no issues at all
