Default 2014 Scion tC,TRD springs, Strut question

So. I recently bought a brand new 2014 Scion tC, manual, and I am curious about the Struts. I bought a set of Lowering springs, TRD, and and wondering how well the Struts will work over time... I know they upgraded the Struts for the 2014 and am curious as to how well they'll perform with the drop. I've read that it can impact the life expectancy of the struts with a drop. The TRD springs only lower it about an inch, I know, but I don't know if I should upgrade the shocks/struts... I only have about 500 miles on my car and if the newer Shocks/Struts are actually improved from the 2013 model... Then should I upgrade them? I know the RS8 came with the springs stock... So I'm sure it's ok, but how ok? I want to install them in the upcoming month, save up some money's and then get them installed and aligned. I got a deal with a local shop to install and align for $350, so that's not too bad. I just don't have the time, energy, or tools to do it myself.

What's everyone's thoughts on this?

Hahaha don't worry too much about it and get the TRD's installed - you won't regret it. Just remember to rotate your tires every 5k miles.

Lol, perhaps I am stressing a bit too much. I just don't want to spend money on the installation twice if I don't have to. I don't want to have to replace my shocks 20k miles down the road again if I don't have to

your shocks won't wear down that fast. Lol 20k is too fast. I'll say maybe like 70k or 80k down the line considering stock shocks with stock springs last about 100k

yeah I would not worry about the struts they will work fine. just read up on the install because the front struts have to be put back together a certain way or they will wear out some bearings...dont remember the name haha...
