$100 each…I needed a set to start with.

It's cheaper to manufacture in batches instead of one by one. So how do we help make it possible?
This is true…if I make them from scratch, I can hold a lot closer tolerances (OEMs are stamped) and I would not have to throw away the outboard end.

Done…as you can see.

I liked Hotchkis’s the best (for the 1st gen), but none would fit the re-designed 2nd gen rear suspension, so I had to design my own.

This was done in the last stage…

I’m not a fab shop…so I’m not setup for producing automotive parts. I’m an aerospace structures engineer. But you are probably right to make them from scratch…since I wasn’t planning on mass producing them, I hadn’t really thought about it…but good idea!

quite well from the looks of it. This is the step that makes scratch production possible.

I did too, but the eibachs were cheaper to order since I was only getting them for the machine shop to see the basic idea I was going for. I knew they wouldn't fit.

This was done in the last stage…

Again, looks to be very well done...as would be the case with an engineer

This seems to be the hurdle. I know your shop/setup may not be conducive to producing auto parts from scratch. I was mentioning that ordering factory RUCAs, shipping them, and then modding them would not be cost effective (it would be better than nothing though). From what the auto machine shop told me, once they could identify the materials used on the RUCA and the measurements, they could just buy the raw materials needed and then they have the machinery to pump them out without having to start with a factory RUCA. Since you already know the materials/measurements, can you just take that info to an automotive machine shop and then they get the raw materials and produce them to your specs? It would be mucho cheaper to produce (rather than paying 200 bucks alone for factory RUCAs to mod. They might be able to produce the same RUCA from scratch for less than half that.

They look great!
I would like to know how can I buy a set from you and what do I need to do to make that happen. I need a set rather sooner than later
I can't PM you because your PM feature is disabled in your profile.
Please let me know.
You can also e-mail me at my web page e mail if you wish.
Thank you.

Subscribing to this!
Definitely interest, I don't want to lower my tC until I know I can deal with the wonky alignment

I showed these adjustable RUCAs to the service manager at Performance Toyota and I showed him my car on TRD springs…enough said. He is going to install them and set it up right. He is also going to measure the maximum negative camber these arms will adjust down to, for you low and slow guys that like “stance”… That maximum negative camber will be recorded, photographed and posted here. My final settings will also be posted here.

These A-RUCAs have been sent to Mike at The Powder Coaters…

Stand by for further progress and details…

This is still the prototype, so that is why no PMs...hang in there.

I've finished the "made-from-scratch" A-RUCA design...and here is what it looks like.

Damn! Nice. Have you had a chance to install the other rucas you made? Any pics yet?

So what are your plans? I mean are you going to mass produce these and let people here do a group buy? I'm definitely going to need these.

The plan is to get the prototypes on and tested.

Like I’ve said before, I’ve made 10 of each part (except for the arm itself) for right now…the first 2 will be on my car. We'll see what happens when I get the arms made for the other 8 sets of parts.

Well since I expressed my interest first and there are only 8 (possible)sets that you might sell I'll take the chance and start a list. I understand the fact that they haven't been tested yet and you just may decide not to sell them. But if everything works out and I hope it does the list is ready to go.

Adjustable Rear Upper Control Arm (A-RUCA)

EDIT: by WellesleyScion: 2tCornot2tC has requested this list be removed
