Thanks man! I’ll always accept a compliment. I’m still getting my sea legs here in my new location, but I’ll be looking for shops to manufacture these this month. Hopefully I’ll have these for sale in June.

It looks like I will also be able to offer two versions of this A-RUCA…a full race version like the prototype ones shown here and a cheaper version for you guys that are only interested in going low and slow. The only difference is the ball joint at the outboard end of the A-RUCA.

Could you go into a bit more detail? What does this difference practically mean?

What I’ve called the full race version has PTFE-lined steel insert (does not require lubrication) rated at 17,959-lbs and for you low and slow guys, a zinc plated steel one rated at 11,385-lbs. Price difference per ball joint is $28 or $56/set.

And daily driving will probably fall into the low and slow category? Also you said one doesn't require lubrication...does that mean the other does?

Daily drivers and low-and-slow are the same category…unless you plan to be tracking the car, there is no need for the big’ens. As far as lubrication goes, technically yes…but there is no Zerk fitting (grease fitting) on them either. All the measurements are identical for both sets of ball joints. And if you look at the photos, you can see that there are seals that cover the ball joints. Both versions will have the identical seals.

So if we would like to purchase the race set would we just pm you seperately? I'm not trying to stir up trouble with anyone or anything

Not sure how it will all pay out...we'll see when we get there. It will probably start out like most goup buys on here and then we will see.

Sign me up for the race version!

Now if I can just get some performance dampers, my suspension will basically be done!

Thanks for your continued interest...I’ve tweaked the design a little bit, but I’ve had other things going on and did have the time to get bids from machine shops for manufacturing these parts. I will not be using the shops. The shops I’ve used to build the prototype are just that, custom shops. They are not set up for production. I did have plans to check into this today though. This project is not sidelined.

First off, let me just say thank you for taking so much of your time to take a project like this on, I'm sure it's been extremely time consuming. Secondly, whenever you do find a good shop, I would love to purchase a set as well. The wife won't let me drop her car until there is a camber adjustment solution available. Keep up the great work. Waiting patiently for the finished product.

I will check with the machine shop...I've placed an order for 100 pieces (50 cars). I’ll see what the status is. So the short answer is no ETA yet...but they are in work. The shop that I found could do most of the work in-house, except for the heat treatment. They will have to send them out for heat treatment. They can even do the zinc plating in-house, so it’s a very good shop. It took some time interviewing shops…to find one that I was confident could manufacture these A-RUCAS. This all takes time.
