question? does anyone know a company that sells parking brake shoes for my 11 tc?searched everywhere---it seems i might have to my local toyota dealer but i am reluctant because the prices will be will be a joke. any help will be appreciated.
That's true. I don't know of any cars that use shoes and calipers, the parking brake uses a cable to actuate the rear brakes (in your case, calipers). My car uses drum brakes in the back meaning it does have shoes, used for parking brake and normal braking
i was looking at a camry haynes book as there is no scion book available. the camry has disk with tiny shoes inside hub of disk with a cable threw backplate.called toyota and was advised scion is different and has parking brake in caliper. i should have looked at my 11 tc and would noticed the lever on the caliper.
