i highly doubt it's that simple. yes, he made brackets...but they were for a brake kit DESIGNED to go on the rear. he hasn't made a bracket to use front brakes in the rear...i'm not sure it's even possible.

No, the TRD BBK will not work with the F-Sport rear BBK...the TRD BBK only increases the cooling capacity of the front brakes and not the braking torque. The F-Sport BBK for the IS250 increases the rear brake torque by 33% and the F-Sport front BBK decreases front braking torque on the Gen 2 tC by 10%. To use the rear F-Sport rear BBK, I had to order custom front calipers from StopTech...massive ones!

The TRD caliper comes with "ears" to mount them without a radial mount bracket...so no bracket is needed.

Front and rear calipers are not interchangeable (regardless of mounting brackets).

This is the front caliper bracket I've designed and built for a StopTech 6-piston caliper...

This is the rear caliper bracket I've designed and built for a StopTech 4-piston caliper...

This is the Lexus IS250 rear BBK on the back of my tC...

..and yes, that is my e-brake cable laying on the ground...it did get removed.

Do you have any idea how hard it is to make it through college, let alone to get a full scholarship for it? Acceptance rate into the Bio-Medical Engineering program was less than 1 per 100 applications...and to get a full scholarship. That car was less than 1 year's tuition...even with all the mods. That car was earned and NOT gifted!

No i do not and i don't care. A gift is a gift no matter how you glorify it by whatever it is that you did.

What makes me wonder is, if you are indeed an engineer, or still a student. Some of your reply i find rude or sarcastic, (not that i care) and even implying that you are an engineer. while the article says you were just accepted to college. poser? I don't know.

Anyway, thanks to your engineer dad that you have such good big brake kits.
Your BBKs aside, your car is just so, so, like mine.

By the way, your profile says 47yrs old. You still in college, boy? (No pun intended. )

I usually don't comment on threads anymore, but I have to on this one.

2Tc - That's a freaking awesome BBK. It's an inspiration to the one I want to make for mine, I just hope I can do half as good of a job!

To the "earned" post, as much as it sucks to say, your car was not earned. It was given. It's awesome that you got into a engineering college with scholarship, but that's not "earning" a car. I as well got accepted into an engineering program with a full scholarship.. in fact, I get paid to attend college.. but that doesn't qualify me for a free car. "Earning" your car is working harder, or smarter, and spending your money wisely so that you can save enough to buy it. It's alright that your car was given to you, as most people's first car was, but don't claim that you earned it.

Side note to that post: If your car with the mods is less than one years tuition, then you are going to an expensive ___ school haha

But don't hate on 2Tc just because his car was given to him. A large portion of people under 20 are now given their first car as a gift. Yes, a brand new TC2 with expensive custom mods might be an expensive first car, but regardless it's his first car! Give him a break!

Not sure if you understood what i mean by my posts. And i'm pretty sure that you've come across most of his "I, ME, MY" posts.

I don't hate the guy because of the gift.
Hatin the arrogance of this poser.

I've got nothing but love for the TC2.

I have no patience for stupid…you post a stupid question, you will get a stupid answer right back. That’s not arrogance…that just being a smart @$$. Now if you post technically wrong information, you will be proven wrong. I do not say anything if I don’t know or I don’t care. If you’ve been told wrong information and you were not smart enough to recognize that that information was wrong and spread it here, you will be called out about it. Just because somebody told you something, that does not make it right or correct. If you can’t handle the shame of posting that wrong answer, don’t…or be able to prove your answer. If I have the time, I don’t mind answering questions, but you have to ask…do not tell me! I have a problem with people saying this or that is so when it is not.

Great…congratulations! How do you feel about that scholarship you got? Do you feel like it was a gift? Someone liked the way you looked and gave you that scholarship? If you got an academic scholarship, I bet you feel like you’ve earned that scholarship and it was not gifted to you...
