Discount Tire Warranty "Certificate"?
I did a broad search for Discount Tire but I didn't come up with anything I was looking for.
Is certificate better wording for something else? Or this this nothing but a fancy up-sell?
I usually don't buy tires from Big Box stores but after fixing a flat here and there and getting my rims torn up by mom and pop stores...I could really use good English customer service and free flat repair*.
I am just looking for opinions or personal stories about this up-sell ($15/tire).

*Note that the free flat repair comes regardless of these certificates.

I never really have a problem with tires other than the occasion nail. But having a 'no matter what' warranty across the country is worth it now that I been reading about it.
I totally blew through my OEM tires on my 2013 tC that I got in October 2012. I'll be more careful this time around ;)
I've been working for discount tire for a few years now. The certs cover free flat repairs, free rotations, free rebalance, and most important if the tire is non-repairable they will swap it out with a brand new tire.... hint put a screw about 1/2 inch from the sidewall on the tread block and you get a new tire.
I've bought several sets of wheels and tires from them via the mail order. (There is no outlet near me.) I have nothing but great things to say about the company or in my dealings with them. Great customer service, too. (TIM) There is free shipping and a zero interest credit card if payed on time.
Thats great to hear guys, thanks. I dropped my car off today and got a good price.
They lowered the price of the certs for me, and the Tire Pressure Sensor rebuild that they do.
Both of my visits just to get quotes had no pressure, and exceptional comfort and customer service. I feel safe having them work on the car. Free Balance, rotation, and nail repair sealed the deal. I been paying 'mom and pop' stores $10 to patch holes.
Edit: How do peolpe really get nailes in the side wall lmao? I have never seen this! Well at least i'm covered. (And I dont plan on taking advantage of the system)

I second the motion to get the certificates.
I was traveling in Alabama a few years back and got a flat tire with no stores within a couple hundred miles. I called the store manager back home and he told me to take it to the closest tire store and get the cheapest tire they had to get me home and he would reimburse me. Upon my return home he reimbursed me and provided a new tire to match the set I had the certificates for. Excellent customer service and they are especially good with not damaging expensive wheels.
It's the only place I will go for tires now.
