Just making sure tire will fit.
So I just bought new rims (18x8 ) for my sciontc 2014 (stock 18x7.5). I was looking for tires but they are stupid expensive for a college kid like me. So I heard that I could put my stock tires (225/45/18 ) onto my new rim and it would fit fine even if it's a half an inch wider right?
Much thanks!

they should fit fine. I think it's at 18x9 when stock tires start to stretch. some people even like the stretched look so they still run it on their cars.
I'd save up for some tires regardless. rims probably cost a small fortune and tires usually cost around half to the same amount. use your stocks with winter tires for winter and use your new rims for non-snow/ice conditions Just a suggestion.
