Default Most sidewall I can get on a stock rim

I have a 2011 tC and it rides tougher than I’d like and I know a bigger tire would help with the ride but I don’t really know how big the tire itself can be without it causing any issues. I was considering 17 inch wheels but ditched it after seeing some examples. So question remains what tire fits on the oem bone stock rims with the most sidewall. Thanks and sorry if this was already asked about!

Sounds like your mind may be already made up about this, but the rims are interchangeable with the same generation Camry. Are those among the 16 and 17 inch options you looked into?

The stock suspension on the 2g tC is pretty poor (and even rougher if you're on the TRD springs), sounds like the tires might be hard as well. Is it still running the factory shocks since 2011? If so, you should probably look into replacing them. I've been thru a few different suspension setups on this car and absolutely love how my tC2 rides on Tein Flex Z coilovers & Hankook S1 Noble 2 tires. Most comfortable it's ever been and a million times smoother than stock. Would not hesitate to buy this setup again and would put it up against any other tC2 on this board and say it rides better.

The chassis itself is also a big wet noodle making the ride seem a lot harsher than it should. Throwing some of the braces offered by TB Performance will also improve ride quality, not just handling.

Simply adding a taller tire will only make it feel a hair squishier in certain conditions. I'd look into a more comfortable tire vs just putting a taller one on.

The issue is absolutely fixable, budget will determine how fixed it gets.
