Need a little help with XXR rims..

Well, to start off i saw some XXR 521's the other day and i instantly wanted some on my Cement Scion. just for the meanwhile until i come across something better. And i was thinking of going 18x8.5 +35mm all around.
Would you guys recommend that i get myself some spacers for all 4 wheels so that i can get that flush look or go wider on the wheels .. By the way everything is stock at the moment. planning on coilovers in the near future.

Any help will do I am a noob.

Thanx.

I would say drop the car first then go with the wheels. That's just how I have done everything. I would go wider, the TC is a bulky car and wider wheel would look better

Dont need to go wider just get a lower offset i think they come in +25 you'd be better off with those... I'd just avoid running spacers if i can

My tC with a XXR 527 18x9.75 all around.

I would definitely lower the car first before buying the wheels. Oh and stay away from spacers ive heard bad things about them.

Sick ride. But i just want the 521's for a temporary thing until i find something that's not a knockoff. so I'm not very concerned about lowing it right now.

And by the way what kind of visors do you have on you windows?

weather tech visors. If you do not lower the car it will continue to look like ish as your 4x4 height does now. a slight drop can be achieve with very little money on some springs. my .02

Why not save that money and get legit wheels then from the start instead of wasting it on something "temporary." There's plenty to choose in the used market that are legit if you look around and can be had for a bit more than what knockoff you want to buy. Before anything though lower it, and fender rolling is something that's going to be needed if you want to go aggressive fitment along with tire stretch, gotta pay to play.

I didnt do fender rolling on mine but i think i will because its scraping when i have some1 on the backseat whenever i hit a little bump. Nothing too serious though

Well, I went with the purchase after all and this is what it looks like XXR 521 18x8.5 +25 all around.
Just undecided on either Tein-S Springs or TRD Springs.

Don't mean to thread jack but you guys in cali are lucky. I wish I could lower my ride but the roads are way too bumpy/broken around where I live. It wouldn't be bad if it didn't rain for 10 months of the year because then I could see the potholes and avoid them but, the puddles cover them up. 3 or 4 years ago I was driving my moms car which sits higher than the scion tC and it was dark/rainy and I drove into a pothole.....long story short I bent the steel wheel. If she had nice aluminum rims I would have probably took a chunk out of it. I know ride height does not determine weather a rim gets bent ot not but I don't want to bottom out or scrape my ride :(
