I have an '12 RS7 with the blacks rims, which I like, but the black is gloss and I prefer satin black. In looking at the back side of the rims you can see overspray between the spokes on the part of the rim where the tires mount. In the past I would change the color of rims by having them powder coated by I'm wondering if that is excessive. Does anyone know if the OEM rims are painted or powder coated and if painted is there any special process used like baking on the paint? I would thin kit would be cheaper to have them painted vs. powder coated.
