Performance of after market rims?

So I was driving a Camry at work the other day and it had after market rims on it. I noticed it handled a bit differently than other camry's. Now I know its not a tc so thats where my question comes into play. What do you guys think of your rims besides "they look cool"? Did you notice any difference in performance? 1st gear launch traction? Things like this. And also what kind of rims? And pictures? :)

Aftermarket wheels mostly just lighten the car and that's if you do research to make sure you buy lighter than stock some are heavier depending on how big of a wheel you buy. The only other thing they could also help with is you are able to buy a wider wheel allowing you to fit a wider tire for more traction. Other than those two things that's about all the performance you can get out of a wheel. It can only perform as well as the tire that is on it.
