XXR 521 - 18x8.5 - +35 & +25

XXR 521 - 18x8.5 - +35 & +25

Hi,

I'm not too familiar with the wheels fitment and all that stuff.

I'd like to know if these wheels would fit on my '12 tC with a TRD drop (1.2'' front & rear).

Also, I'd like to know a good place to order wheels online because I live in Quebec and wheels are expensive as fack here!

Be easy, I'm a newbie!

If you guys have suggestions, feel free to share! I want your ideas too. I want a white/black/red theme. Looking for a dark red window tint with red license plate lights and maybe red lip wheels but not sure. Interiors lights will be red.

I'm not in a rush, the car is stored for winter.

Thanks!

Do you have pics? I've searched for these wheels on google images but I haven't seen any on a tC2.

Thanks!

Whatsup guys,

I dont post much, and i dont know much.. but i need some help.

I want to order XXR 530 crominim black. Heres the catch, after reading trough this entire thread i am still very confused on the best possible size to go for. I am on Tein coilovers. I cant decide between the

8.75 with the +35 or +20

or

9.75 with the +35 or +20

I am going for a nice wide look, but i am not looking to need major fender rolling. Ive seen many pictures on instagram but nothing with sizes. So please, post pictures and let me know. Any help is appreciated.

Hey Mike

Here's my ride dropped on D2 coilovers with 19x9.5 et45 R5:F's. I'm tucked all the way around on 245/35-19 Hankook Ventus V12 Evo's. I've got room to come out about 15mm so I'm probably going to add spacers to fill the gap. Fronts are less than 5mm from the coilovers but no rubbing anywhere... Hope it helps!

k0ntr0lledka0s 03-06-2013 03:12 PM

how much are you dropped on the coils? and do you mean your 5mm from the fender or actual coils??

MikeTC2 03-06-2013 03:37 PM

Right now I'm stock height but I'm goin to drop again in April, if I can..... I've decided on the 8.75+ 20

oblivionlord 03-07-2013 05:36 AM

12BlacktC2 you need to retake some pics outside in the daylight cause it looks blurry. Also its a very low res. Don't you have a regular camera, not a phone pic?

12BlacktC2 03-07-2013 12:41 PM

The coilovers are down about 3/4's of the way. I can go lower but I installed the drop before I added the new rims and tires... I wanted to see how everything was going to fit before I slammed it.

The rears fit great. The fronts are super close (about 5mm) from the springs because the rims are a +45 offset. I am going to add spacers all the way around just to bring the rims out to the fenders. Probably 10 to 15mm. 15's are on order and if needed I'll slim it down to 10. I haven't rolled the fenders yet either.

In terms of pics; Unfortunately all I have is my camera phone... Once the interior is done I want to have some professional pics taken. I'm just waiting on the seats and I have to finish installing the interior accent lighting... I'll prob start my own build thread once its all put back together

k0ntr0lledka0s 03-07-2013 03:07 PM

o ok im just asking to get an idea cuz i plan on maybe getting 19" o wow that is a high offset...our going to roll the fenders? cool! cant wait to see it

oblivionlord 03-08-2013 04:36 AM

Instead of spacers, why not just have gotten the 35 offset version of your wheel instead? It would have given you a bonus of being slightlyyy more concave and will naturally stick out 10mm as you want.

Can you take a quite shot of the rim from the side so I can see if the tire looks stretched at all? Thanks

Loving the r5s as the tails making me want to get some for my black tc

12BlacktC2 03-08-2013 03:26 PM

I'm most likely gonna have to roll the fenders... I took the +45 offset just b/c of the sweet deal that I got on them.

I'll definitely get some more pics up asap! There's very little stretch on the 245's wrapped around the 9.5's. But that truly varies tire to tire. Tirerack was awesome with the info on their website. For most of the tires they actually list tread width which can have a big impact on the stretch. Personally I wasn't looking for a lot of stretch thats why I went with the Hankook's....
