Figured I would post in this just to share some info.
Very good to know man. I'm soon looking at 18x8.5 with 15mm spacers in the rear, thought there would have been more issue,
I'm at 2.5 probably plan 3-3.5 with new setup.
I'm also going 1 size smaller on the tire, however how low are you?

Yeah, you'll definitely be good. smaller wheel and a smaller tire. and I honestly don't know how low I dropped it LOL.
I just kept lowering it until I thought it looked good. Id say somewhere between 3.5-4 inches. I maxed out the rears but still have one lock ring/perch thingy

Oh OK cool. with the slight wheel gap you have i would have guessed 2 inches. I'm 2.5 right now and have about the same gap.
Also the only coil kit so far I know of that goes 4 inches if you take the rings out are the ISC Coils I'm currently on.
K Sport bc or anyone usually only hit 3 but who knows it's still good info to have.
Crazy plans for my car next year so Thanks.

Hey guys! A pothole has taken the life of one of my TRD wheels recently. I'm now in the marked for a full set of new wheels and tires. I've done quite a bit of researching, but I'm overly cautious and like to get thing right the first time, so I figured you could put my mind at ease.
My goal is not to avoid tire rub in the front while getting flush with the fenders. I'm open to rolling the fenders, but would prefer to avoid it if I can. I won't be doing staggered sizing for the rear. I'm thinking a mild tire stretch would be acceptable for additional clearance if necessary, but I also want tire longevity, so if there is a best-of-both-worlds recommendation anyone could make I would greatly appreciate it. This is the first set of wheels I've ever bought so the measurements and math are boggling my mind, lol.
So I have read as much as my brain can take. I'm new to the Scion world coming from German vehicles.
I have a 2012 tC. With that, what's the best size wheel to run without rubbing or fender Rollin?
I'm going to drop it at least 2". Any suggestions would be great! Wanting to go with a concave wheel no lip.

I have TRD wheels (19x8.0 +35, tires are 235's, I don't recall the Aspect Ratio and I plan on dropping my car on D2 coils fairly soon. I also have 10mm and 20mm spacers I planned on adding too.
I'm not excited about rolling fenders but I will if I have to. If someone doesn't mind letting me know how well this set up works and if I'm gonna have rub and end up needing to roll my fenders that'd be great.
So I just ordered some Konig 18×8s with +45 offset if I'm reading things correctly from the thread I should be OK but I'm not entirely certain.
Anyone running anything similar?
They /should/ but they won't fit very flush. If you want to get more flush see if you can cancel and order that same wheel in a 25-30 offset. Generally you want to order lower offset and not higher to avoid inner clearance issues.
