Will This Wheel fit? (Guide to Offsets and more)..
size of rim dont matter, as long as you keep the same overall tire diameter
go with +40 for safety to make sure you dont rub in the front, you also never mentioned if you gonna lower the car/roll fenders/stretch tires
After you get +40s you can always space em out to make the flushness perfect

I do want to lower the car, and I would not mind rolling the fenders if I need to. The +40 will keep the wheel at the same place as stock or will it make it stick out more? If i read correctly i think the higher the offset the more in the wheel is, and the lower the more it sticks out. I might have this all wrong... For some reason i'm not grasping this offset thing...
The higher the offset (like +45) the closer the wheel to the inside of the car
the lower the offset (+20) the closer it is to the fender
In your case with +40 you essentially keep the same offset but add 2" in width to the wheel. 1" goes towards the car and 1" goes towards the fender
To estimate what it would look like just imagine ur current stock wheels sticking out an inch
^OK, so i took a look at it. I'm not sure, but if i do drop the car I'm almost certain that i will have to roll the fenders. This is of course just by looking at it. Even so i don't see how im gonna clear that fender. The back might be ok but the front looks like it might need to be rolled. What do you think?? Also u mentioned tires earlier. I do not want to stretch the tires too much, so what would be a good tire size for this application?

rear will definately fit
front will depend on springs, at stock height you should be fine but with lowerings springs you will rub since they never stiff enough.
bottom line is get +40, and if you lower it you will have to roll fenders and get 235/35/19 tires
im looking at putting speedy illusion rs 18x8s 45mm offset on my car now my question is if i understand all of thiss correctly my wheel will actually sit closer to the center of the car now if i want it to be flush ill need major spacers so what would i be looking at for spacers in order to get a 45mm offset to fit.....like 30mm back and 20mm front?? also can i put stock tires on that until i get new
with those wheel the look will be identical to stock
ull need at least 15mm for front and 25mm for rear for spacers to look flush
yeah you can reuse the stock tires, they will be fines until they wear out, no safety issues there

Hey, I'm a noob to all this and this thread has helped a lot.. Purchased a set of xxr 521 18x8.5 +25 the other day. With a stock height (trd lowering springs on its wAy) will you guys think I will have any issues I'm trying to get that flush look. And suggested tire size would be appreciated. Thanks
and yes it will be 0.5" poke
stock wheel front spacing is roughly 5.6cm for them to be flush you neen 18-20mm spacer
so ~7.6cm front spacing will be flush, with your wheels front spacing will be 9.5cm!

New to the Scion tC2 stance scene, so maybe someone will help. I have these wheels I had in a previous vehicle will anyone be able to tell me if the fitment would be too wide or show a picture of a Scion with same wheel spec???
20x9.5 ET 10 Front & 20x10.5 ET 5 Rear
I Know I'll probably catch some heat for the size, but it is a touring coupe after all.
