Dimming head lights

Weird question, have put in several alternators, as explained in previous post, believe that the problem was actually the alternators, put in Rockauto OME and it seems fine.

Getting to the point, before I got the car going again it had been a few months sitting and I don’t drive it much at night, I noticed the battery light has a faint glow only noticeable at night and I couldn’t remember if it was always like that or it is a recent development?

Tonight when I was driving the car occasionally the headlights would fluctuate in brightness and when they did the dim battery light would also? It seemed to happen more when the road was changing pitch, like wavy.

Ideas?

I'm thinking water in something? Except it’s freezing but it might have defrosted in the cab or engine compartment.

Sounds almost if you have either a bad ground or a short somewhere if it tends to happen on roads that are more 'wavy'...nothing worse than chasing and isolating electrical issues.

That sounds as good as anything, had a truck with a bad ground on the battery but it looked solid. I’ll check what I can find!
