i am having a big huge problem. when i got my car the dealer gave me two remote clickers for the keyless entry system. i lost both. i have been looking for weeks and can't find it, i called toyota and they told me they'd rob me $150 to replace it. yikes! so i know i can get the actualy remote for like twenty bucks of ebay but id still have to pay for programming, toyota told me they wouldn't program a remote for me if i didn't buy it there, wtf. this is alof of money that i'd prefer nor to spemd, but after spending $600 on a keyless entry/security system, it would be pointless not to use it. suggestions welcome

So buy a new key pad off Ebay or someone on SL.. The owners manual should tell you how to program the keypad.. Stay away from the Stealership at all cost.. they always want to charge you an arm and a leg for there stuff.

Do you have just the keyless entry or the Scion alarm?

no i have the alarm too...can u find something for me with that. how hard is to program it like what will it consist of me doing

I have honestly never seen the keypad for the Scion alarm... Did your keypads look like the ones I posted up from Ebay? They have a panic button on the back of them.. As for the programming.. I think 3 back flips and a few spins in a circle are required.. Sorry for the humor.. but the programming of factory stuff can be a pain with some of the things they make you do to program stuff.. I'll see if I can find the how to on programming the keypad for you.

Tomas says in that thread you should have recieved a manual that states how to program everything.. I will double check my xB manula and see if it states how to program a new keypad..
