What bodykits fit the 06 xA (PICS PG 2)

Okay just so I am clear the JPUSA kit doesn't fit, as well as most lip kit except the 06 kenstyle kit.

But does the fab kit or nobelesse fit??

And what the heck is duraflex??

LeroyJMC 12-27-2006 02:02 AM

The Noblesse kit should fit. Just shoot em an email over at OTG and see what they tell you. You'll probably have to do a little work to the grill or order the Noblesse grill to go with it though.

Thank you for your reply

Anyone else I am trying to get a technical report of what works with the 06's

JPUSA - Doesn't fit
Kenstyle lip kit version 1 - Doesn't fit
Kenstyle lip kit version 2 - Fits
Noblesse kit - Fits (???) some modification

anyone else just copy paste.

brownKIDDnate 12-28-2006 01:04 PM

the fab kit fits 06 xa, im currently under construction with mine now

randomsuper 12-28-2006 02:20 PM

i'm pretty sure any bumper replacement will work regardless of year, it's lip kits that are the problem. i'm not 100% sure about side skirts though.

whatmovesu 12-28-2006 04:11 PM

Thanks guys let compile a list so hopefully I can be added to the buyers guide.

I wanna buy the bbist FAB kit $450.00 but if I had the money I would sooo be all over the nobelesse kit from OTG.

octagon 12-29-2006 02:39 AM

Wait, from what i have read and searched any kit that "will fit" the 06 will require crash bar modification, revert to 05 headlights, grill, and i 95% sure of the hood as well. If 2006 was a body change (headlights, front bumper, bumper support) i hate for anyone to be assured that "it will fit", "plug and play" means no modification. Tell me if im wrong, but this is the reason why i have not done the jdm Amondull kit, revert to jdm kenstyle. The only one that i know will fit will little to no modification is kenstyles 2006 specific kit (front under spoiler, and rear underspoiler)

whatmovesu 12-29-2006 03:32 AM

Thanks I will reflect that can anyone comfirm it?

octagon 12-29-2006 10:58 PM

The cost incurred will be in buying
1.04/05 hood
2. headlights
3.04/05 bumper beam
This all seems to be the issue with reverting to previous year body kits. If all are able to get the above knocked out, any kit of your choice will work. It just seems like a lot to do to convert to 2004/05.

whatmovesu 12-30-2006 05:24 AM

Thanks let continue the great effort

Why would you need hood modifications if you are just adding a body kit? 06 Headlights fit 05s so why wouldnt it all fit without changing anything? Here are a list of kits you can install on your 06

Fab
Kenstyle 2 (RS3 version)
Noblesse.

Basically any of them with bumper replacement, you can do. I don't know where this hood modification and headlight exchange comes from.

brownKIDDnate 12-30-2006 04:21 PM

you dont need to do any head or tail light modifitcation to fit those kits

whatmovesu 12-30-2006 06:13 PM

Okay....Okay

So is it safe to say any FULL body kits don't need converstions only lip kits.

octagon 12-31-2006 03:13 AM

I was and am under the belif that the 2006 headlights are different in shape than the 2005, that is why i assumed that fitment wise is would be a little work. I am not understanding how the grill wont fit (2006 to 2004) but we belive that the bumper will? That is why i believed that 2005 front bumper would not fit correctly, either way you cant tell me that the bumper beam is the same as 2005. Not trying to be rude, but if the swap to 2004/2005 was not this complicated then why havent all of us completed it. It is more that just bolting on the bumper and a little bit of fill. I respect the fact of going to previous years, and i am all in. I have talked to many people and gathered their experience of back swapping and one thing is for sure the bumper beam will have to be modified. If i am wrong then maybe i need to do more reasearch into fitment myself.[/b]

whatmovesu 12-31-2006 02:38 PM

Doc oct your fine we need the discussion......I have a friend with a FAB kit that I would like to borrow to test fit hopefully we can take pics and see.

I was under the impression of the same thing.

Has anyone done a body kit on a 06 and would like to show us pics???

personnally i have seen 300% worse fitment on body kits that are made specifically for "vehicle A"
and its tottally not a big deal to make this fit 100% perfect.

the weird spots you see on this picture are because none of the holes needed to clip it in and such dont exist on the bumper yet. getting those in would get rid of most if not all the gaps from the side and grill, then after that is to fine tune the fitment which you have to do either way. bolt in and fill if you will. :silly:

gjpjr84 01-01-2007 09:55 PM

and i would like to add that its craxy that the xA's front bumper cover uses twice as many clips and screws to hold it on then a tC.

octagon 01-01-2007 11:13 PM

good job, good picts for reference

gjpjr84 01-01-2007 11:45 PM

also you have to remove the tow hook guide thingy and the black plastic air diversion panels but thats true for the 05 xA as well.

and mad props to whatmovesu cause thats his xA and to scionpilot for his Fab body kit and the use of his hanger. and letting us know that you have to take off the tow hook guide thingy and the air diversion panels. and yay me for getting to mess around with taking apart an xA, been wanting to try that for a while, :ponder: now i just need to see if anyones xB needs some taking apart fun.....
