Default Electrical Failure > Fuel Injection Damage

A few months ago, my '05 Scion xA suffered a full electrical system failure. Luckily, I had an honest mechanic that fixed it all up for just over $300 but he mentioned to keep an eye on my harness plugs. I was in a hurry so, like an idiot, I didn't really ask him what that meant but then I looked it up and, according to what I read about fuel injection system problems, an electrical failure can cause a lot of stress to your fuel injection. If I can't locate the harness plugs, are there any other warning signs I need to look out for? If I do find the harness plugs, what am I actually looking for as a sign that the fuel injection system is being damaged?
