65,000 on an 04'. Just had to tighten the front passenger side strut, and replace the wheel bearing. Also replaced some belts a while back and the alternator.

My 2006 xA was 4 years old on Jan. 16th. I have just arrived at 42,200 miles on the odometer. All I ever do is regular oil changes and factory scheduled maintence. It's still trouble-free as ever, and the best overall car I've ever owned!

Going to hit 50k by the end of the week Did the 40k check up at 35k, since I wasn't sure what the moron who used to own my baby did to it. Ex: while test driving, I said "this thing shakes like hell, you ever get it aligned?" him: "what's that mean?" O M G so it needed a check up...

155k miles and strong, i have two cars and this is my commuter. very reliable. you see alot of the trecels on the road. the xA is just a tuned up computer loaded version, i could only expect the xAs to run even longer.

100,000 miles. No mechanical issues or problems. Still very happy with the little Xa...not happy with drivers that ding and scratch it

Hoping it will go another 100k.

81K+ on my 06 xA (purchased in Nov of 05) Had some tranny work done under warranty a year or so ago, other than that, just regular oil changes and alignments. My son just changed the brake pads today for the first time (that's right! 81K miles on original pads!!) We found uneven wear-- passenger side only worn about 1/4, but on the driver's side, one was ground nearly to the metal-- any ideas about why?
PS-- love this car, hope it lasts forever:D

I hate to say it but our Scion xA only made it 129,677 miles before it was undrivable. Not that it was Toyota's fault; my daughter managed to total it.

It wasn't damaged that bad, mostly LF quarter panel, bumper, headlight, grill, hood, and LF tire. In my opinion if it had less miles the insurance company probably would have repaired it.

Hate to see it go, it was a perfect car for her (and me): cheap to maintain, good on gas, and a lot of bang for the buck. We'll miss it.

72,000 on an 05. Brakes and bearings all around. Other than that, no problemo. It's a nice little car.

50500 on my 06 xA. Bought April 2010Only one oil change so far. My mechanic told me that I have my brake pads left with 20% on them. He said he will charge me $350 for complete front break work including fluid flush.

That is kind of expensive But no other issues.

I got 75k on my 05 xA. I changed my own front brake pads, bought the pads from Kragens for like 20 bucks.

Didn't changed the fluid though >.> flushing is that expensive? how much does it cost to have the auto transmission and coolant flushed and filled?

So mine now has 143k on the ticker...

So far I had to replace the pass rear wheel bearing within the first year (2004-2005) due to mounting a defective 14" Echo steel wheel as a full size spare. I've changed the brakes all around, fronts more than once. I also had to bring it in to the dealer to fix a clogged AC condensation line that was draining into the passenger compartment.

At about 125k I began getting a check engine light that kept reading as "Catalytic Deficiency".

I then proceeded to change the Throttle Position Sensor, both O2 sensors, and even the Cat itself... Come to find out the ACTUAL issue was a faulty wire in the harness that plugs into the Throttle Position Sensor that was causing a short thus throwing the engine light on...

Right around 140k the Clutch began showing signs of slippage. I bought one and procrastinated and didn't install it right away.

At 143k, August 29th 2010, I spun some bearings in the bottom end of the motor. The cause was my driving for the past 143k miles. I drove the car hard. Hard acceleration, high rpm shifts, and several looong distance road trips (including Boston - Orlando twice) while traveling at 4000+ RPMS for the major parts of the trip. All this lead to some oil consumption. Silly me didn't think to check the oil on our most recent road trip, Boston - Rocester, NY. The motor went about 90 miles away from home on our return trip. The silver linings, I hadn't installed the new clutch yet, it happened on our way back and within the 100 mile AAA range, and at least this didn't happen in the dead of winter! My xA will however carry on with a newly installed (almost done, check my engine swap thread...) 2008 Yaris motor with under 10k on that ticker.
