Noob Question on remotes and scion security
My wife and I recently bought a 2006 Scion Xa and it did not come with remotes for opening the doors. The car has a "scion security" LED panel near the mirror adjuster with a light that turns on. I was wondering if we needed something installed to get keyless entry or if we need to track down key fobs.
If we need something installed, do any of you guys know about how much it would cost?

My 2006 doesn't have that feature but I'm guessing that if you have the light installed, you should also need the remote for it...but that's just my guess...we'll have to see if anyone else has this feature. I'm interested in knowing as well...

I think your car has the security system and all you need is to buy the remote (assuming the LED light turns on). You can go to a dealer to do the programming, I used to have the manual but I threw it away.
