Default Parking lights

I have a problem with my parking lights. They sometimes don't turn off when I turn the switch to off and sometimes I'll come outside and my parking lights will be on even though the switch is turned to off. What could it be?

The switch? A relay? if so which relay?

Nope, there aren't DRL's on the car and the park lights turn on and off by themselves randomly. I even get the "left your lights on" beep when I leave the car even with the switch all the way off.

Apparently the relay is built into the switch so I don't think there is a separate relay that would be causing the problem.

Apparently everyone on this forum is 12, taking the bulbs out doesn't solve the problem. I more of a fix the problem kind of a guy, these red neck answers aren't helpful at all. I ordered a new switch so we'll see if that helps.

Well I replaced the switch and it didn't help so I removed every fuse with the car off and the headlight switch off while the park lights were on. The very last fuse, the dome fuse under the hood, turned the park lights off. Now I am totally confused... I can't seem to pull out the dome lights out of the headliner but I've jiggled them and pounded on them and I don't even get a flicker of the lights. Anyone have any ideas?

did you buy your car used or ever been in a major accident? it was probably fixed ghetto and the wiring is more likely than not ghetto rigged in places.
