Rims and Tires
Supercharger! Everyone has a turbo -___- superchargers are so much more manly and bad ___ IMO.

And thumbs up on the wheel set up, seems awfully familiar for some reason (;

I bet! LOL, I've been looking for a good set of mesh style rims that fit great.

Yeah a 'Supercharged' badge on the back does look bad ___, but it takes away from the fuel economy and I don't know if I wanna do that... ... Oh well!

Well I finally got tired of 35% tint looking too light sooooo:

This shows no window, window with 35% tint, and back windows with 35% and 5% tint.

soooo I got my car double tinted in the back and a strip put on the front

latest update - carbon fiber hood
found it used off craigslist, no brand.

as you can see, the hood doesn't sit as nicely as oem, but my 2 friends told me that's just how it is. can't do anything about it. overall it looks good and for about 1/4 of the price of a brand new one.

So this christmas was GREAT! I got my 4300K HIDs and money for some suspension upgrades! PICS!

They are super NICE! 100% increase in visibility... Reflectors at night are clear as day. I took a trip from SC to TN through pouring rain and couldn't have survived without them.

Another thought was to paint all the interior silver to a metallic gold like this...

Thoughts?

I also just ordered some Eibach Sportline springs and a TRD rear sway bar for my suspension upgrades (I may be hitting up *what's his face* for the waydo strut bar (if he still has it) soon, depending on install money...)

I'll post more pics of those when I get back around the 3rd... til then Happy Holidays guys!

liking them HIDS, just wondering why you took off your entire headlight unit to installed them. could have saved you some time but no biggie. i got 8k hids, doesn't really shine when it's raining but i'm in so-cal.

any color will look good on the interior. i painted the ABC pillars too. not sure gold on the pillars will look that great against the grayish ceiling.

i'd say skip the strut bar, get some tokico blues struts and energy suspension end links. strut bars gives little to no improvements at all on the car. if you still want one, just get a knock off brand on ebay.

as for the hood, i'm sure it's the same for all years. this guy told me all manufactures make it differently. this is the thread i posted about it.

There wasn't enough room to do the left install for sure, and it was tricky to get the headlight bulb out and in, plus being my first time I wanted to get it done right. The 4300K are pure white and make every reflector bright, its great! you mean tokico blue shocks? I'll have to look up those parts to see what they are...

I already bought the sway bar too, I just want to do that and a strut bar for the front for some good overall suspension. I don't have the cash for springs and shocks so I just chose springs. I plan on getting some rims for my birthday (along with tires) then I'l worry about shocks. (this car only has 60K on it so the shocks are still good)

rear sway bar is a must. energy suspension endlinks > strut bar. once you put on your springs, depending on your normal driving condition, your rear shocks won't be able to handle the drop and start to weaken and eventually bottom out. i say you just hold on to your springs till you get some struts / shocks and then install it all together. look up energy suspension endlinks install guide in the suspension section. it only cost about 20 bucks total.

Okay I can do that, but I'm still gonna install those springs... I'll worry about shocks later :/ I've been waiting too long to just hold 'em lol. If worse comes to worse I'll buy shocks for the rear (since they sell them individually)... but I'll get the endlinks with the springs.

Can you post a link to the thread, I can't seem to find it...

Here's a guide for a xB

i think youll be fine with the springs and shocks separate. i installed my ksport springs and kept the stock shocks almost a year ago, and have no problems at all.

whew, thanks for the encouragement, I'm hoping not to run into any problems. Me and my friend are going to attempt to swap 'em ourselves to save me a couple bucks, then I can do that bushing swap afterwards and put in the rear sway while the car is on jacks. But I'll be saving up for shocks afterwards, hopefully I can get some wheels when my bday rolls around in 4 months... (along with tires!) then I'll be set. Unless Zillion decides he wants to ship that strut bar ...

^ When you putting those bad boys on?

Is it okay to install those energy bushings and a rear sway bar with all four tires on the ground? Or will something fall if I remove the parts required to exchange either? Just need a heads up on what to expect, I should be doing both tomorrow afternoon...

Should be getting my springs sometime next week and getting them installed before the weekend!

gonna put them on this afternoon.

for the bushings, there is a DIY guide in the xB section. it's the same for the xA. you don't have to remove anything. also i think you should have both sides jacked up evenly, don't tighten it down until you got both sides in place.

rear sway bar it's bolt on. you probably need another person to help you hold up the other side while you bolt down 1 side. you don't need to remove tires, you can jack up both sides a little bit just so you have more room under the car to work with.

cool, I see the DIY, just wanted to make sure there wasn't any surprises... Looking forward to getting it done this afternoon!

So would it be better to get these spacers or get a +20 and a +0 rim... tire wear would be the only issue...

The tires are perfect man, don't upgrade, they fit nice!

Edit: After looking at it a couple times, you really don't wanna bigger/smaller tires. You just need coilovers and that whip will look sick! You may not even have the roll the fenders, they look like a perfect fit
