Default Power steering help

My daughter’s car, 2006 XA
Had to replace her power steering pump and the pressure hose. Got everything back together, then went to attach the pressure hose’s other end (not where is goes into the pump), by the passenger side wheel, and it will NOT go in. I gave up after an hour

i tried the old one, screwed right in no problem

the end is a little different. So I can only assume the one from autozone won’t fit. Or am I missing something?

Most likely won't fit. Try OEM.

I ended up getting it after 3 hours

the OEM had a tapered end, this one did too, just not as much. Had to literally be put in dead straight. What… a… pain…

Glad you got it. I really don't mess with aftermarket parts after trying to save a couple of bucks with a windshield washer check valve. That crap didn't work.

yeah, my first thought was to call Toyota, they wanted like $600 and the guy couldn’t explain why haha. She got one from AutoZone for $70

If you know where to look you can get every part of a system individually. So you don't have to pay for an entire assembly. I've looked for so many parts for my Scion that I've kind of have become an expert. It's not easy navigating those dealers schematics. And different dealers have much better pricing than others.
