Toyota Platinum Svc Agreement with zero deductible for $745
 

Last month I contacted 20 Scion dealers across the US via email asking for a price on the Toyota Platinum Service Agreement with zero deductible for my new xA. Most of the replies did not address my question, but of those that did the highest price was $1550, and the lowest was $745. My AZ dealer quoted $1100. I purchased the lowest quote (Jake Sacks - Crown) with my CC and received the agreement from Toyota today - it pays to shop around! Here is that Kansas dealer:

What does the platinum service agreement cover?

Can you buy the service agreement at any time? Also, what would the advantage be to purchasing the additional service agreement? I have Geico insurance and apparently I have some kind of additional service agreement built into my insurance policy that I think runs to 100k miles. Would the Toyota service agreement simply be a duplicate?

Yes, you can buy a service agreement anytime, or at least you should be able to. As long as your vehicle has not past the years or mileage or is it the factory warrentee. Anyway, it is something like that. Keep in mind, if you put on after market items, they can either choose not to cover it or they can choose to only put on factory parts.

The service agreement covers most stuff when your factory warrentee runs out. They also cover towing when your factory warrentee does not. This is also what pay for your rent a car when your car will not be ready by the end of the day you turned it in for service.

I would double check whe your Geico policy covers, I am not sure, but I did not know that Geico had policies like that. Just be careful with that.

I think I may have to purchase on of these in the very, bery near future
