I have 2006 xa with 69k miles - tranny is auto: can I use synthic tranny fluid, if so, which fluid recommended?

The recommendation from Scion on the transmission fluid is World Standard Transmission Fluid Toyota Genuine ATF Type T- IV that is sold through the local Scion/Toyota dealer. The vehicle has an enclosed transmission that is only replaced upon inspection. ^AP
