So, I found a way to just buy a 12v piezo buzzer and wire it on the "tail" fuse (red +) and the Rear Wiper fuse (RR Wip, black -), but it does not seem to work! It worked on my 2008 Toyota Highlander perfectly. So, I'm confused. It seems the Scion has a different wiring setup

Any ideas where I could hook up the black (-)???

i have a 2006 xa and the buzzer does not work at all. i just bought the care about a month ago and have killed it twice by leaving the lights on. i found a couple things on youtube but have not tried any of them yet. what i have found was that the piezo either gets quite from being dirty or just stops working all together. Have you found a way to wire without pulling the dash apart?
