06 Scion xB upper pan leaking oil

Any upper pan leak is going to be a pretty involved repair...I think I'd live with it unless it became a huge issue but a slow leak, outside of the mess on the driveway or garage floor, will be far less of a hassle than trying to fix a leak in the upper pan.

Yes I agree
however I have had the upper pan leak for 6 years
the garage floor oil cleanup is not so bad
the mess it leaves underneath the car is a bummer
i guess I am tired of the leak and would like to repair it but I have 195000 miles on it now
maybe an engine swap would be better ? Thank
i believe I will need to pull the engine out to do the repair
i was looking for a video or narrative on how to remove the engine
detaching transaxle and any tricks/ shortcuts and cautions that might be involved

If you're at the point you need to pull the motor rebuilding it or installing a lower mileage engine would be the way to go...once it out might as well go all the way instead of just fixing an oil leak you've lived with for six years now.
