After Market Header DIY POSSIBLE??

Hello...im planning to get an after market header for my 06 xB
Which style is better to get 4-2-1 or 4-1...also in which brand? pros and cons of both?

current set up is aem cai and greddy ti-c axleback exhaust

i was also wondering if i can DIY the header install??

A 4-2-1 will give you better low and mid gains, a 4-1 header will give you more top end.

You can DIY the header install. It would help to have a second person, though. Soak the bolts at the collector in PB Blaster or Liquid Wrench before you get started. The header should both come out and go in from the engine bay.

Definitely DIYable. The tech section articles on this install are pretty helpful w/pics and the tools you will need. The hardest part is getting the spring bolts off if they have never been off before and the car has seen enough weather/miles. I have no power tools and had to use a breaker bar in order to bust those loose. Also, depending on the condition of your doughnut gasket, you may want to get a new one. The first time I installed a header, the doughnut gasket was in bad shape and I couldn't remove it without it crumbling apart.

all i have to say is Power Tools make the whole thing ALOT easier (and you hands wont get as cut)
