Default aftermarket auto trans fluid

so has anyone put in an aftermarket trans fluid in their automatic? not just adding but changing. I need to change mine (83,300 miles) and wanted to know if there was a diff kind of fluid that would work BETTER than the stuff that came in it, I also drive hard, not race but I do drive hard and in town a lot, thats why I ask. I seems like it has a hard time shifting sometimes or there is a "lag" inshifting. I took it to the dealer twice back when it was in warnenty and they said that noting was wrong but it has not gone away and I have not found anyone else with this prob that I know, but everyone else I know that has an auto xB has a 05 or newer, mine is an 04, got it April 7 2004.

Should I also change the trans filter? is there one? I have changed the fluid once long time ago, but this time I am going to drop the pan, and may get a new one b/c I have some dents in mine.

thanx for the help.

You can use Redline Sythetic D4 or if you want the cluthes to lock up abit quicker you can use Redline Synthetic Racing ATF neither fluid will hurt your transmission the Racing ATF may cause the Torque Converter to shutter a bit. I have run the Racing ATF for about a year and a half in my Supercharged xB and have been very happy. You can get it on ebay!http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQfgtpZ1QQ...meZrviQ3a3Q3a1

I put on the trans cooler due to the fact that most Automatic Transmission fail due to heat, I thought with the SuperCharger it may help, I have never had a problem so maybe it did????

From All-Data

AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE FLUID CAPACITY (includes differential oil)

DRAIN AND REFILL: 3.1 qt. (2.9 L, 2.6 Imp. qt.)

Hope this helps!
