Auto tranny and K&N intake on Xb

Hey friends,
I am conidering getting a K&N typhoon for my auto Xb. All the specs for the intake are for manual tranny. Can anyone tell me if I will benefit from the intake and secondly if the intake is noisy? Thanks

you will get some benifit assuming it fits, but they won't be as noticable as on a manual car. You will make the same crank gains but to the wheels it will be slightly less. ATX has more DT loss.

the HP gain will be felt a little later in the RPMs, but the gains are there :D

dont worry too much...intakes are for auto and manual

there will be gains, but remember this is a small engine so don't expect a huge gain. i have an auto and i plan on getting an intake

I appreciate everyones response to this. What can you all tell me about how the CAI's sound on our Xb's. I have one on my civic and it can be annoyingly loud at high RPM's and I really don't like the hissing sound.

The K&N has a sort of growl sound, no hissing at all. Since I have had it on about a month I don't notice it at all anymore. Our engine is loud at high RPM's and the intake actually makes it sound a little meaner, at least from the inside of the car.
