Automatic shift kits?

Does anyone know of companies that make them or a plug-in the recalibrates the shift points? I can't seem to find anyone that does and the ones that do are for late model muscle cars, etc.

yeah, toyota makes one, it is called a manual transmission.

they make them for late model muscle cars because they didn't have computers and such.

you don't have a muscle car, you have a fairly new car with an electronically controlled transmission with nifty features so that it will automatically select the best gear for the car to be in based on mph, engine rpms, throttle position, and engine load.

you really can't improve on this other than say a valve body upgrade.

I dropped a shift kit in a 4L60E electronically controlled
transmission.. worked great.. someone will make one oneday..
its basically a few springs and check valves, that are slightly
stronger/bigger.. as soon as the demand for rebuilding these
transmissions (by private shops) starts to happen, they tend
to follow.. just too new right now, and all of them still under
warranty.. demand is nill..

the trans is internally controlled differently, but it still comes down to an accumulator
creating a hydraulic action in the tranny, changing the accumulators internal spring with a softer one, will cause firmer shifts... they also do make the complete part for you to buy, but our cars aren't "old" enough yet..

heres an example of one for a 83-98 toyota automatic tranny

these guys would be your best bet for contacting about this..

back from the dead.... anyone make a shift kit yet?

This may be off but with the S-10 I had it was a electronic shift kit that wired into the ECM with 3 set points so I'm sure it could be done if you can find the pinout and figure what resistance to add.
