What does Garage is empty, Add now mean?

Hi,

My battery is leaking around the tie down brackets on the battery. I'm going to replace the battery soon. My question is, did I tighten the brackets too tightly? Since the brackets are corroded/chipping, should I place a shim in between them and new battery or do I have to buy a new tie down assembly?

I didn't have this problem on my previous battery replacement. Maybe it's just a cheapo battery?

There are no cheapo batteries anymore... but there are poorly made ones.
I've had trouble with the autozone gold batteries leaking around the posts and corroding the terminal clamps. Have switched to walmarts EverstartMax, based on consumer reports testing.
You can neutralize the acid with baking soda.
Did you tighten it down too much??? hard to tell, but tighten just enough to stop it bouncing out of the tray should be enough
