Bigger Oil Filter?

I hate how tiny the xB oil filter is... has anyone matched up a larger one that matches up on the box?

Googled and searched around on the site and haven't found anything...

i doubt anyone has cause they only hold 4 quarts of oil theres really no need for a bigger filter

...A BIGGER, LONGER FILTER...

Yes, there is a filter that is listed by Toyota for the XB1 that is longer than the tiny stock filter. I just did my 25th oil change and I used this longer filter.
It is about an inch longer than the tiny version. The numbers are similar.
I will get those numbers posted up and I will look for the EBAY listing for 10 of these filters with gaskets and shipping for $40.

The larger filter number is:

90915-YZZF1

I do not see any of these on e-bay right now, but they can be had in lots of 5 or 10.

Thats the filter for Camry, Corolla,Prism, Matrix and it'll work.

Do not buy FRAM or Purolator filters due to very poor quality.
There are probably many filters that will fit and are longer, but we don't know witch ones.

would it not be better to have the smaller one?better oil pressure?

The size of the filter doesn't effect the pressure.:lalala:

Awesome, that's what I was looking for!

I've always put a larger filter in my vehicles if I could match one up, no proof that this actually is a benefit of any kind in the filtration but it always seemed logical that a larger filter = more filtration can't hurt! And these lil engines run such high RPMs I would think they could use all the love they can get ;)

Thanks all for the input!

The biggest advantage to a larger filter is that you have more oil in the system. This inturn allows you engine oil to run cooler , getting the engine to run a wee bit cooler ( similar to getting a bigger radiator with more coolant)
