Default broke a sensor while changing belt

Need help quick.... I broke this sensor right above the alternator while prying the alternator back into place after changing the belt. I need to fix it quick, its my girlfriends car and her inspection is up this month. thanks

I was looking around for parts that look like this one and it looks like its the variable timing solenoid. So can anyone confirm this and is it ok to drive while i wait for the part to come in?
