Last summer I went down to my Local Scion Dealer and they told me they were no street legal RAM air or Cold air intakes for my 2006 XB. I live in California. Does anyone know if this has changed? I really want to give my XB a little boost. Any suggestions?

Yea there ain't do to the fact that us 06rs have that stupid charcoal filter in the box, other than that 04-05 intakes r xactly identical. What I find odd is that there r no legal intakes for the 06s yet my factory scion accessory book says the 06 TRD intake is 50 states legal.

Only thing u can do 4 now is put a dropin performance air filter and yank out the snorkel until there is a carb legal intake made available which I won't hold my breath 4 see as how the 06 is the only one affected and aftermarket companies usually don't makes alot of stuff for one year only models.

IIRC, I remember reading somewhere that AEM is in production of a CARB legal CAI.

I am going to hold my breath.

Yeah there is another recent thread discussing the fact that there are none legal here in cali, but AEM was in production making one?

I have a CAI anyway, when it comes to a smog I could just do a switcheroo. Maybe by then they'll have one for the 06 that is carb legal... or maybe I'll have an xb2 lol. =)
