ceramic is better for controlling heat.. Stainless and chrome plated hold the heat longer..

What do u mean hold the heat longer, and what do u use to print out ur speedo cover on? And how does the light shine through it?

Ceramic coated header keeps the heat in side with the exhaust , keeping your exhaust ( cat converter) temp up while it keeps under hood temps down. It also looks nicer longer. Doesn't melt the shifter cables ( at least after 100k miles so far)

Stainless steel ( it really isn't stainless) or chrome plated look nice ( for awhile after all it does discolor) and allow the under hood temps to raise , can also cause the shifter cables to melt if they come into contact.

I have my doubts about ther ceramic with the potential for chipping flaking etc.

I have a brand new donut gasket for sale if you need it.

I will let it go cheap to a good person.

the ceramic coating is really durable , it won't crack, chip , or flake . As long as you don't beat on it with a hammer.

Had the DC Ceramic coated on my box for just shy of 98k miles , has not discolored , chipped , cracked or flaked.

I have stainless steel but i heat wraped it with the heat wrap you get form advance auto parts. It does the same theing and looks kooler though. I noticed the diff in heat temps inder the hood.

I really meant to clarify that I just thought the ceramic had more chip potential during install.

The ebay ones seem to flake if you look at a few threads here.

I have a stainless Strup and I got it from some dude in GUAM about 2 years ago for $140 in auction. I only just this month installed it. No problems and it is fun to have.
